Support Martina Navratilova. Sign her letter to Christine Quinn!
On July 18, Martina Navratilova sent a letter to City Council Speaker Christine Quinn in response to the video on the right. (GRAPHIC) In it she said, "How can you support such a scurrilous industry that spouts racist and homophobic vitriol?"
She urged the Speaker to ditch her support for this vile, disgusting carriage horse industry, and support Intro 86A, legislation to replace the archaic horse drawn carriages with electric vintage replica cars.
Speaker Christine Quinn's response to the homophobic, racist carriage drivers? "Send the carriage drivers to sensitivity training."
That's not the issue! Perhaps Speaker Quinn should take some animal sensitivity training and end the abuse of NYC carriage horses.
